Step 1 This head has a broken
release handle
These steps will help you replace the handle and clean the ball
Pay special
attention to the tension screw its on the side opposite the handle make sure
to put this back where it was in the same position very important.
|
 |
Step 2 First we start off by
removing the top plate with and Alan Wrench |
 |
Step 3 Then we remove the
bolts holding the casing together |
 |
Step 4 After you have removed
all of the bolts get a flat head or knife and slowly pry the two half apart.
This step you will have to be careful because if the springs inside have
been compressed they will shoot out of the casing. |
 |
Step 5 this is both half's of
the head with all of the parts laid out be sure to not lose any of the parts
or you will run into trouble. |
 |
Step 6
To clean the ball you will need to disassemble the main workings of the
head once you have released the tension from the friction spring you can
remove the ball and begin cleaning. |
 |
Step 7 first clean the ball
itself you don't have to get it perfectly clean. |
 |
Step 8 Next the casing this
can be a little tough but you don't have to get the whole thing clean just
the main parts. |
 |
Step 9 This is the part we
will be replacing if you can see their are two catches on the top of the
handle and those have broken from our original handle. |
 |
Step 10 After putting
everything back we leave a gap in the casing so that you can push the handle
back into place. You will have to be careful when pushing it into the casing
you need to make sure that the spring does not pop out the back once you
have the handle inside you need to press the casing together and hold it as
you screw in the bolts. |
 |
Step 11 Now this is one of
the most time consuming things out of this entire assembly making sure the
tension screw is in the right position and then tightening if it is not
positioned right and not tight your head will not work. |
 |
Step 12
Here is the finished product with tension screw tightened and everything
working as it should. |
